<VV> start up ticking

Hi all,
 
The Vair has been running great with one small exception.  I was out  of town 
for a week and a half.  At start up it ticks for about 8 seconds  then runs 
just fine.   This only happens when it sits for a week or  so.  I assume it is 
just the lifters not being full.  She  was 1/2 a quart low on oil.  She has 
33000 original miles and has  never been apart.  Is there anything I should be 
worried about on this or  should do differently?  Thanks guys.
