What you REALLY need to check (and it isn't easy or all-telling), is 
continuity between the point plate and ground. The plate pivot is the 
ground, and this gets shaky after awhile.

I was able to spend a few minutes this afternoon and check for continuity
between the point plate screw and the neg side of the coil….all ok



Still haven’t remembered to bring home my plug socket from work to check the
plugs…..Don’t know why I even keep it there….haven’t seen anything come in
with 13/16 plugs for years….
