Who cares what some narrow minded organization or moron determines by way of some oblique, arbitrary guideline. All Corvairs are classics: 1) there is a large worldwide following of these cars 2)the worldwide following, a passionate, loyal following that has been in effect for decades and has been solid since late '59 - definitely not a passing fad! 3) The worldwide automotive press/media regards the Corvair as a Classic - U.K. publications, Classic & Sportscar as well as rival Thoroughbred and Classic Car have both featured Corvairs over the years and the Corvair was never offered to the English (U.K.) marketplace other than those who purchased in the US or Canada and personally imported there. A vehicle need not be a certain age or an expensive exotic to be a classic car. The MX-5, Miata was deemed a classic from introduction in '89 , ditto for the Mustang 25 years earlier. Yes, there is some infamous baggage as well, with Nader & the swing axles..., You
guys, as well as those who came before, and trailblazed the Corvair during their lifetimes, should not question whether it belongs as Classic status ---- you old timers and all who came before saw to it that all Corvairs became Classics decades ago. Worldwide acceptance of the Corvair as a classic is undisputed! Cheers Tamias Metis
