<VV> steering box lube

Just curious - what then IS being used in modern steering boxes? Or are such
things passé?

I mix STP with chassis grease to the point where it is just pourable, 
and then squirt it in using a large plastic syringe. Available on Ebay 
or veterinarian supply house.
