1) sidestep at 9K
2) shift at 8K

keep rpm reasonable, or unreasonable things will happen.

The above rules are for a trip to QTRIP.  With my original 66 140 I could
get 70 mph by the end of my driveway ....     thats what good old days were
for, :::: no remaining evidence ...
