Nothing can be done this year of course, but perhaps a tune up in the rules is due.
IN order to keep it simple, mail (postal) copies to me and I will forward to comp comm. members and to the board. E mail is good for discussion puroposes , but not official.
Some ideas under consideration from current mail:
CC becomming exactly like SCCA, especially regarding displacement.
Adding an DP/vintage / EP class.
Allowing Heim jointed suspension in SM. Remembering that no changes can be made to reduce weight in SM if this is still the direction the membership wants to go. . This would mean that Carbon fiber panels or light weight linkages would put you in CC or Specialty.

Allowing more points in IS classes.

Right now; the worry over oversized engines and light weight cars can be handled by entering into the Specialty group for Corvair bodied cars. The Corvair engined group would be the smaller cars.

Another question is whether the entire membership is concerned one way or the other about becoming more SCCA like.

Should the track rules and the autocross rules be more similiar or are the differences approiate for the different conditions?
Discussion only; NECC is a separate entity.
