Hi guys/gals

I don't have a Corsa, but I have a Corsa dash in my '65 Monza.

Shortly before the '06 convention, the interior got quite damp. Top down in
the rain (dumb on my part). About 2 or 3 days later, a big (20 amp) fuse
blew. After some trouble shooting, I traced it to the clock. Since that
fuse covers other items, I simply unplugged the clock and went to convention
with everything else being fine. My best guess (not verified) is that the
dampness in the car caused a problem with the points inside the (original
style) clock essentially caused a direct short.

Next, the speedo started acting up about a month after convention. I don't
know if that is related to the damp condition or old age (probably the
later). When moving, the needle shows about 50% or so more than actual
speed but the (regular) odo does not move. The trip odo (after reset to
zero) runs backward. It will go from 000000 to 999999 and has worked its
way down to 666666 after an estimated 800 to 1,000 miles. So, I'm pretty
sure the cable is fine and the speedo itself is broken.

Can anyone help (at an affordable price - I just went onto Social Security
in Oct) with a working clock and/or speedo head for a Corsa dash? If I have

to, I'll just put the original Monza dash back in but I would really miss
the head temp gauge which was the real reason for the Corsa dash in the
first place since the car has a 140 engine.

Sometimes I'm overly verbose. Short version... I need a Corsa clock and
speedo head.

Try Lew Rishel--his address and phone number are in the Corsa Communique.
