Steve: The dash pad was missing on my '69 but I
bought a used one from Clark's...I'd say it was in
fair condition, I painted it to match my interior and
it screws in easily with about 6 screws.

Regarding the PG shifter, the chrome T-handle was
replaced by a small black plastic knob. Also, there
was a change to the shift gate which requires the
lever to be moved slightly to the left for Reverse and
Low, which means that the dash-mounted shift assembly
is different between the '65-66 unit and the '67-69
unit. These changes were made in the interest of
safety. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess either
unit will hook up to the PG cable behind the dash.

THe '67-69 knob isn't as easy to use as the 65-66
lever, but you can add a T-handle shifter from a floor
shift car (mine's from an '87 Monte Carlo) to replace
the knob, and it's a lot easier to use.
