HHHMMMM (deeply inhaling through the nose) AHHHH (exhale slowly
through mouth). There's nothing like that unique smell after you park
your Corvair.
I've had three Corvairs and they smelled the same after driving. When
I go back into my garage, I can smell the odor which must have come
from the heat of the air-cooled engine. I liked the smell of it
knowing it is the unique characteristic odor that only comes from a
Corvair. It's not an unpleasant odor and it sure brings back memories
of driving a Corvair. When I turn on the heater I get that smell just
for the first few minute then it goes away. If this is your case, you
need to let the Corvair bug bite and get used to it.
