Corvair door glass issues, especially late models, suffer from failure of
the spot welds on the two brackets attached to the bottom glass tray. These
brackets attach the lift pantograph to the steel channel that holds the
glass.
They can be re-welded with a wire welder, in place, but be carefull you
don't overheat the channel, and melt the glass bonding agent. Tacking is
suficiant.
Have done this many times...

Subject: <VV> LM door glass repair?

Hi all,
The passanger windo on my 69 vert is one crank away from falling into the
bottom of the door. It has needed help rolling up for the past two years I
have owned it. I have read the tech guide cover to cover this morning but
can't find any repair guides on this fix which supprised me since it seems
like something that would typically happen to 30-40 year old cars.
Thanks,

Tom Connolly
