If you want to have a look at what GM Research thought was a good head  
design for a 'Vair, check

done with pushrods-look up a picture of  an Ardun or a Chrysler hemi to see 
how. Now if this could be set up with 4  valves/cylinder as well as that 
pent-roof combustion chamber, it would be a real  2007+ Corvair engine--especially if 
somebody got together with Ray Sedman from  American-PI for a roller-rocker 
system which, incidentally, would lower the heat  produced by the engine--and I 
KNOW there are a few of you working on that.
