My car is finally off jackstands! I got the car with the engine in
pieces in the trunk and have done a hillbilly rebuild* over the last
year. The prior owner had suffered a catastrophic engine failure on
the freeway and disassembled everything before giving up. It seems to
run pretty well, now I need to get the brakes fixed, and I'll be on
the road again. It sure is nice to have a shiny clean non-smoky
non-drippy engine!

It a lemonwood yellow Monza convertible with a black interior and
black roof from California with virtually no rust or body work.

Thanks to Clarks, Underground and the Carbmeister for their excellent parts.

* No machine work, just take it apart, if it measures and looks OK,
put it back together. Same old flywheel, pressure plate, crank
(polished), cam, pistons, cylinders (honed) valve seats and guides
(new valves lapped in). All the "must replace" stuff was replaced.
Time will tell if I saved any money...
