<VV> another convertible question

Not likely if the doors were shut & the body free from major rust in the rockers. Wheather the top was up or down makes no differance. The conv't top adds no rigidity.

If the body was twisted you would notice a differance between the left & rt. door fitment(one would be in at the top more than the other when the doors hit the latch, but not latched).. Lay a long straight edge along the rear fender body line extending up just short of the cowl. measure the distance from the straight edge on both sides to the cowl. The should be the same or close.

Is the door gaps look the same on both side....i.e./ is both gaps narrow at the top by the same amount?

Subject: <VV> another convertible question

Is there any possibility that the body of a convertible could be tweaked from having one corner up on a scissor jack for 10 years (top has been up all that time)? If so, where/what should I check? Top not aligning? doors not closing properly?

Thanks in advance, and thank you all for the replies to yesterday's questions.

Blaine
