Only if you don't change the oil filter for a long time!  You need to get 
the filter completly plugged so all the oil is going through the bypass 
valve.  Once the oil that is full of dust gets thicker than 90#, it will 
seal the muffler bearing (and some other bearings) right up.

The other way to get oil out of the muffler is a long drive down the freeway 
and the muffler will get hot enough to burn it out.  Got to watch for the 
polution police.  That won't understand that it is a one time thing.
