Spent Saturday and Sunday at car shows in the Tidewater area of
Virginia. Saturday's show included in excess of 150 cars of all types,
8 of which were Corvairs. One of the Corvairs was the car we're giving
away. We quite a few wonderful comments about the car, and even sold a
bunch of tickets to non-Corvair people! I think we could have done
better if the temp were 30 degrees warmer and the sun were shining (it
really shows off the metal flake in the paint). Judging was done by
people's choice.

Sunday's show was a put on by the local Chevrolet club and was
restricted to automobiles with either Chevrolet engines and/or
Chevrolet bodies. LOTS of VERY nice looking Tri-5's in attendance.
This really surprised me because the weather was miserable, and
included bouts of rain and sleet. Temps in the 40's. Three Corvairs
made the trip, but we bailed out early because of the weather.

Corvair's in Tidewater tend to get some exposure at the local
cruise-in's and multi-make shows, but not enough for my liking (and
I'm as guilty as the next, mostly because I don't have one street
worthy at the moment, probably because of the effort put into the
raffle car).
