Nice car...

Too bad someone with the foresight to store such a car didn't think of
getting a Monza, or dare to ask, a convertible ?

Did he plan to keep it, or did he find it in storage somewhere (i.e.: bought
a garage with it inside ?)

When I bought my 69 Monza (140 4-speed convert), the dealer "lost" it, and
they offered me a Camaro (which I didn't want), and it took two months to
force them to "find" it.

I hadn't considered conspiracy theories, until it was stolen (in 1970)...
Were they hiding it, to sell on eBay or JB someday ?  Who knows..

Still stings, but if I could find another, I'd buy it (Glacier Blue/Blue)
