<VV> Stubborn Lifter Woes / Solution

Hi All:

 Odds are the head of the lifter is mushroomed. The only to cure this 
without destroying the lifter gallery, is to take the top off
   the engine and file down the sides of the lifter to be replaced, it 
will then slide out.
