All the years I ran the  mags designed for full-size Chevys I never had any  
bearing problems  and I drove it many thousand miles on the highway and loved 
the  way  it handled--that's why I keep 'Vairs for so many years.

That is because most Chevy 14 x 6 wheels had about the same backspace as  the 
13 x 5.5 Corvair wheel. Even the 7" wheels had a pretty big backspace, until  
you get into the Aftermarket wheels. Even those were available in a couple of 
 different backspaces. - Seth Emerson
