What's a voltage meter? Voltmeter?... and how does a voltage meter send a
'charge' thru the sending unit. The sending unit is the ignition coil.
The tach is a self contained unit that 'counts' pulses.
One side of the tach unit goes to the points; the other goes to +12 volts.
There is no ground (per se).
