<VV> Ethanol watchout

Just read a news article about boat owners who were finding that their fiberglass fuel tanks were slowly being eaten away by ethanol laced gas. They were rebuilding carbs and cleaning injectors and lines without determining the cause of the rapid deterioration until an owner's tank failed on the trailer (luckily, if that can be said), and then another, and another, etc. The article went on to say that users should be on the lookout for other long term affects on other materials in their vehicles. I guess this might mean you don't want to spill any on a fiberglass part or repaired area, or possibly have it in contact with the fumes? I tried a tank prior to reading this and noticed a significant drop in mileage in my truck from about 23 down to 19 mpg so that was the last tank for me anyway. I can't eat corn either as it has a similar affect on my insides, so it's no big deal either way :-).
