It seems a bit strange that there are folks who think that an early is ugly...
If it really is that ugly, why were there so many cars with a similar design in those days? 
f.i. Hilman Imp, NSU 1000, lots of Renaults and BMW and so on...
btw i think the BMW 3.0 csl has nice looks considering it has the front of a late model and the rear of an early...
