I'd like to add one follow up to this.

Especially seeing is was sorted of sparked by me (I think) and my posting of
the video on YouTube.

I have the following Corvair videos collected in decently high res
-Motoring 2000 segment
-Legends (from ESPN)
-Hemmings Classic Car
-Classics (on Bill Devin)
-Car & Driver TV
-101 Cars You Must Drive
-My Classic Car at the 199X convention
-1999 Runoffs with two Yenkos
-This great one from Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF-8a6B8Ljk (the
author was kind enough to send me a high res version)
-Lone Star Music Video (corsa 'vert)
-Spice Girls Music Video (Rampside)
-Everclear Music Video (Rampside)
-Eminem Music Video (Corvan)
-Home Improvement Episode "Tim's Corvair"

What I'd like to do is bundle the whole thing together into a Torrent that
can be downloaded by all. My original goal was a DVD that could be played
at shows to promote the Corvair. Once it's done there is no reason this DVD
couldn't be shared, via Torrent with other folks.

I'm willing to spearhead this, but it'd be good if we could flesh it out
some more with other segments.

What say you all?

Regards,
Joel

Doesn't Flikr, YouTube and Facebook meet pretty much all of those
requirements?

By no means do I have the knowledge or resources to do this.

However, while reading about and seeing everyone's pictures & videos I had a
thought. I wondered if someone might put together a website that will
archive pictures, documents and videos of Corvairs. This site could allow
viewing for free and downloading for some small fee, perhaps a membership
fee. This fee will be for the support of the archive. Uploads should be
free. They could even give a deal of so many uploads buys so many downloads.
It would also serve as a historical archive.

My first detractor to this idea is the amount of storage that would be
required. Of course, hard drive space is getting cheaper.

Just my idea.

Flame on.
