That's about 30 amps, pretty high usage if the car has its original 37 amp
alternator.  It would probably need its own feed from the battery.

OR..  possibly consider a Corvair - gas heater?  THAT will be toasty.  I'm 
wondering how much strain a 400watt heater would put on the gen/alt 
(whichever) and produce what might still be inadequate heat.
