Interesting you should ask....
 
We have a 2007 Suburban Diesel in the shop right now. Has over 200,000  miles 
on it. Actually the truck itself is in pretty good shape except that the  
owner has trashed the cloth interior. Looks like there will be a major overhaul  
on the engine although  I don't know the details. We told the guy it would  be 
cheaper to put a rebuilt in rather then us doing it. Wanted us to do! BIG  
BUCKS!!!!!
 
Now...there may be a Suburban diesel in your future! That is depending on  
what the product offerings will be in 2010.  They are still planning on  
releasing the 4.5 L diesel (running test right now - engine to be built in  Tonawanda 
(?) N.Y.. It is (was..?) scheduled to be used in the Yukon/Suburban  vehicles 
and the 1500 series pickups. Google the 4.5 GM Diesel for more  info.
 
Given the current circumstances all of this could be up for review right  now!
