<VV> Corvair performance workshop

Several people have been asking if there's going to be a Corvair  performance 
workshop this year and where and when it will be. I've been delaying  the 
detail until everything was in place, but it seems that I need to tell what  we 
know today.
 
Well, yes there will be a PW, but some things have changed. Our past host,  
Gary Funkhouser, has retired and sold his shop in Dayton. The Indy chapter,  
Circle City Corvairs, stepped in and offered to host this year. We are also  
changing the date, in an effort to get better weather, to March 7. There will be  
an opportunity to go on some tours on March 6, (still in work). Our men on 
the  ground in Indy are Tom Miller and Andrew Sego.
 
The host hotel is:

The rate will be $75 per night. The '800 number', so you'll have to contact  
the hotel directly for this rate. Also, make reservations under  "Performance 
Corvair Group." The hotel has limo service to the  airport.

The workshop will be held at a shop in the famous "Gasoline  Alley". The

Preregistration will be $25, same as last year. You can pay via my PayPal

catered lunch too. There's a discount for kids under 10, $10,  but you can't just 
act like your 10.
 
We are still looking for the featured Corvair. The shop has plenty of  room 
for inside parking. If you're interested in bringing your Corvair, please  let 
me know. If you want to be the featured Corvair, you're car will be on the  
event tee-shirt and you'll get to brag about it all day.
 
The agenda is still coming together, some really neat stuff is in the work.  
We still need more though. If you'd like to contribute, (brag about your car,  
tell us about your 2008 season, promote events in 2009, sell the next 
greatest  thing for Corvairs or anything else) it would be greatly  appreciated, 
please contact me.
 
The PW is the official meeting of the Performance Corvair Group. Elections  
for officers will be held and we need candidates. Please contact me if you  
interested in one of these very high power positions.
