Smitty Says:  Ron you don't say if you are talking about Buckets or benches.  I know there were chances from year to year through the whole Early span in the buckets.  Everything from having little coil springs to support the corners of the bolsters to seat pan length.  Saving grace is that the springs are so similar.  A lot of time you can take a zigzag spring from one seat and simply wire a few zigzags of it to the existing spring, spanning the break.  Use mechanics wire or stove wire to do the job.
