another source for silicone rubber self-fusing tape is Uline -? an
industrial supply house. The black color one is part no. S-11847 and
lists? for $12 for a 12 yd x 1"w roll.???

Website - uline.com. Great for waterproofing wiring connections.

According to the notes I've gleaned over the years from VV, a good
source of the shrink-wrap tubing for PG shift cables is

Gardner Bender HST-1300
UF Cable Splice Kit
For 14-18 ga cable

It's originally designed for splicing underground cable and is available
at places like Home Depot or Lowe's. It comes with a four conductor
splice block that looked really useful but I eventually threw away.

I had to check my notes because it's been so long since I did the repair
myself that I couldn't remember the product or manufacturer. Just
remember to clean the cable, then clean it again and let it dry. It's
been at least four years since I had a leak there.
