<VV> Engine Case ID

Anybody know what was stamped on the Canadair engine cases?  I do know of
one confirmed case of a 'vair mechanic type having a car brought it that had
a Canadair based engine in it.

Looks very similar to the engine # in my '69. It is definately a GM
remanufactured engine installed at a Chev. dealer.
