<VV> Lock Cylinder

If I understand you correctly you have the old cylinder out and want to  
rekey the new cylinder to match your key.  This is a wafer lock.   With the 
correct key installed you file down any protruding wafers so the  cylinder will turn 
in the casing (unlocking the lock).  There are  instructions in the manual.
