could very well be a gas supply problem. i would start  with  checking where 
the gas line goes into the burner head.   there is a very small disk screen 
under that fitting. that caused mine to do  that after a load of bad gas once. 
other than that , check fuel pressure right  there and spark.  remove the right 
headlight bucket and let it hang there  ,for fairly easy access to the fuel 
line and spark plug with a high voltage  spark tester. if no high tension , 
check at the primary of the coil  same  as checking the engine one.
