I made the jump to Satellite radio for car (and home) a few years ago. I am
now settled in comfortably with XM in my Vette and Avalanche. I have a couple
of extra units that I am tired of moving from shelf to shelf in my garage.
First is an AudioVox Sirius unit with both a car and a home dock. It offers a
couple of ways to feed into the car (or home) the line out is the best,
depending on your home or car installation. It also has an "FM out" which I guess
sends the signal to your antenna. I never used that feature. I will include
an Antenna of some correct type. It runs on 12 Volts and has a 110V adapter,
not sure where the car power adapter is. I will attempt to find it. A wireless
remote is included. Second (and third) are a pair of Sony Portable XM units.
These were the first XM Radio portables. I am considering them as one lot.
They worked fine, but the display is tough to read (especially for my 60 year
old eyes) Again both home and car docks are included. They need to feed into
a radio to be heard. Again, at least one antenna, maybe more, are included.
All the paperwork etc in there, with several remotes. Both car and home docks
came with remotes. Consider this a kit for gadgeteers. But the price is
right. I will send these to the first two folks who want them. These can make a
long tow much easier. I first used Satellite radio for my tow to Kansas to the
SCCA Solo Nationals. A long tow by myself. To use either one you will have to
get a subscription to Sirius or XM. about $13 a month for your first, less
for your second one. All I ask is you pay the postage - US Postal Priority
mail. Less than $15 for either one, I am sure. - Seth Emerson
