Nice photos etc.  What is the function of the 5/16" allen head set screw
shown on the side of the carb intake in one of the photos?

As some of you may have noticed, the demands on my time have  
slackened a bit, so I got a couple of new pages up.  First is  
courtesy of Rick Norris, he installed one of the Otto Parts carb  
rotator kits on his track car, and did a great job documenting it:

I should add that a couple of engine builders have suggested a  
similar procedure, they just didn't lay it out in quite so much  
detail - one summed it up simply "Build 'em right, wind 'em tight".
