I had the motley crew at SmallCars in KC crutch my YH up with a manual
choke, and that was only thing that actually worked correctly ( well....as
needed when needed ... )  pull knob out, turn the engine over about twice,
and start feeding the choke knob back in until it started ... then leave it
in that position until the engine warms up, then go to no choke and have
fun.

All the other features of that model carb were designed by Dr. Phibes, I
believe ...
