An "interesting morning!

My son lost the key for his Buick.  That is not solved yet since the key 
code for his car produced 2 bad keys.  The theory now is that the ign lock 
had been changed before he bought the car - used.

BUT, the interesting part is that I took him to the dealership in the '65 
Vert.  It turns out that the old guy (there were a couple of youngsters, 
too) behind the parts counter was on of the drivers in the "Daring The 
Darien" promotional film from GM regarding the 1961 Corvairs.

His name is Joe Bendick.  I hope to convince him that he should come to a 
CCE meeting and give us the story behind the story on that historic trip. 
We'll see........
