<VV> cigarette Lighter Suggestion

Every cigarette lighter I have seen from the factory was on a fused
circuit. Typically 20 amps.

I can set steel wool on fire with a "D" cell, so you don't need hundreds of
amps to start a fire.

When doing this take the time to put in an inline fuse to avoid a lot of
smoke on any possible future lighter issues. Regards, Guy Brandes

Well - Maybe. If you are just using the "power outlet" for other things,
like feeding electronics or charging the cell phone, determine what load
it
might see and "fuse" (or circuit breaker) it to your contentment. If you
will
actually be using the cigar lighter, don't bother with a fuse. The heat
load for
the actual element will pop about any fuse you put into it. The high load
is
what creates the heat to light the cigar - or doobie, whatever you are
setting on fire! - Seth
