<VV> transmission fluid

Dexron III or Mercon will work fine in your Corvair powerglide tranny.  Dexron II
is fine also but don't go out of your way looking for it. Don't add any additives.

What I am getting at is there Dexron II or Dexron IV (like dot 3,4,5 brake 
fluid). And should I worry about mixing different types if I don't know whats in 
this powerglide now?
