Powerglides had 3 positions, sorry, 5 if you count park and neutral. It's a basic 2 speed transmission. Got one in my 65 conversion. Built by TCI with a transbrake and 2800 rpm stall converter. Goes like a ******* *** whatever. Also super easy to work on. I would think if the modulator was bad it would shift late or ios that the governer ????????
