The M60 tanks I drove in the early 70's had air cooled Continental V12 
diesels. I never got to see one out of a tank.

G.S. Patton Armor Museum, Ft. Knox, KY has the engine on display.....big
bugger for the HP it produced (600-HP IIRC).  The 1500-HP GT out of the
Abrams looks like a toy beside the Continental....the tranny is bigger than
the engine!
