<VV> surprise! Oil leak

I had a hairline crack in the rear housing of my '69 that about drove me crazy trying to find it and I ended up replacing the housing.  Just a thought on where else to look.  I cleaned the whole area off well and blew some flour through a straw on the area where it was coming from and then started the engine.  It didn't take long to see some oil seeping out from the crack in the housing.   Ken Clark

I've seen the oil cooler develop pin hole leaks. Pull the lower left shroud, 
and look up at the oil cooler while the engine's running, for leakage. In 
this litigious society, I should remind you of possible injury from dripping 
hot oil...;)
