<VV> missing lifter retainer

last time i found a lifter retainer missing it was ground up and deposited  
in the bearings..twas not a pretty sight!
i now put a hard drive magnet in the base of all of my engines. (on the oil  
pump pickup usually) and in my transmissions and differentials.
