<VV> As if I don't already have enough to think about...

Hey guys,
Cheryl and I were driving the other day when we saw a pair of old Pontiacs
sitting at a "used car lot" down the road a ways... they were early 50s "Silver
Streak"s with the Indian head on the hood... but sitting behind one of the
Pontiacs was a itty bitty Renault Dopefiend.... yes, Cheryl corrected my
pronunciation of the word Dauphine, but I started thinking---especially after I
saw the engine and transmission were gone... how hard would it be to fit a 95
hp engine/diff/pg in one??? I'd probably have to fill the spare tire with
water (lead? Cement?) to help balance it out, as I've heard they can be tail
heavy....
Cheryl asked me this, since she thought the car was "cute".... I'm guessing
it is early to mid 60s vintage, as it had 1967 Indy 500 stickers in the back
window... and something about the "Golden Lap" I think....
I might go out and get some pictures of it...
Cheryl's first car was an 85 Renault Alliance.... terrible little car, but
it WAS her car... she had that when we met in '87, and I had a beat up old 64
baja VW...
Anyways, if anyone knows these things (I know lclc has at least one, but I'm
sure he's in Californie this week), drop me a note.... No, I don't have the
time, place, OR money to do it, but it WOULD be nice to file away for next
time...
I gotta tell ya, the three lug wheels got me laughing A LOT!
Thanks!!!!
