Jim,

I've got the scoop, now that I am home.

One symptom that I had when the brake lights weren't working, stepping on
the brake pedal energized the accessory circuit. It was strange to hit the
brakes and have the radio come on.

Ed Dowds answered my plea for help two years ago and told me I probably had
the orange wire and the yellow wire hooked to the brake light switch instead
of the orange wire and WHITE wire. He was correct.

I hadn't seen the white wire when I was hooking it up and the yellow wire
was in the right place at the wrong time. Both the white and the yellow wire
have the same single connector on them, so it fit and looked right.

Of course this in on a '66 and we can only hope the colors are the same for
both years.

Let us know if this is the problem.
