<VV> shiny brake lines

Hello everyone, Several list members have been discussing replacing
brake lines. I would suggest that
you never NOT replace a line based on the shiny nice exterior. Brake
lines rust internally from moisture
accumulation and after many years of service and possible neglect or
even worse low or NO fluid in the
brake system or Master cylinder, you may have a nice shiny outside
surface and an internal area of a line
just waiting to split or rupture. You can do a hard HARDER brake
pedal test but that is still no guaranty that
a failure of an old non-replaced line is not in the immediate future.
Be safe and make sure that the first mechanical
system in your Corvair that you repair is your braking system.
