<VV> shiny brake lines

Harry-I have a '96 Astro van that did just that. The line going to the rear rusted through and had to be replaced. My mid 60's Corvair lines look better than the Van's, however I would not hesitate to replace all brake lines on a car that old. I hope to replace both of mine and add the dual master cyl in the near future. Ken

Here in Maryland, we don't worry about rust INSIDE the pipes, because they
rot from the OUTSIDE first. Seems the worst one is the little L shaped one
(4") at the LR on a late model.

That said, GM has made great strides in rustproofing its car in recent
years, however they're making thier brake lines with NO rust protection. I
deal with late '80's thru late '90s Buicks and Cadillacs, and the brake
lines going to the rear on these vehicles, are almost always rotten to the
point of rupture.
