JR's symptoms were different from Jeff's -- JR forgot to put on his
smoking jacket and his car was cold and flooded -- Jeff's was out in the
sun warmed up when it lit one up.

So, yes JR, severe flooding makes white smoke, too, but generally the
gasoline puddling on the engine shrouds gives a bit more to diagnosis
than just some old (or new) car blowing smoke -- cause if you don't get
that flooding fixed, you might find out about that old adage of where
there's smoke, there's fire. Knocking on wood, I hope nobody has any
such experience. Any smells of raw gas from the fresh air heater should
be checked immediately. Ditto for the gas heater.
