    Right!  A 1/8 inch thick easily compressible  (foam rubber type) should 
do it.  Glue it to the stock gasket that comes  with the Unisyn.  You set the 
adjuster on the Unisyn so that it's around  midrange with both carbs at idle.  
Adjust the idle speed screws so that  both carbs have the same reading on the 
Unisyn.  You may want to have a  tach attached (especially with PG trans) so 
that you can keep the idle speed  where it should be.  Of course, this requires 
going back and forth between  the Unisyn, the tach, and the idle speed screws.
    You can also use the Unisyn to check for equal carb  airflow at speeds 
higher than idle to make sure you have equal flow to get the  best mileage at 
cruising speeds.
