Actually, the Early Model Corvair design was "perfect", which is why they
sold so many of them, compared to the "defective" Late Model design, which
led to the demise of the Mark (double meaning intended).

Bill - sounds pretty good for your tongue in the cheek - Another thought,
though: If the early model had been a true success in the market, justifying
further investment, Chevrolet wouldn't have had to design the Falcon-clone
Chevy II and the Mustang-fighter Camaro. Remember, the Mustang pre-dated the
late model Corvair! If the Chevy II and Camaro hadn't taken up those roles
in the market, the Corvair might have gone on to more greatness in it's
later model evolution. I guess logic can be twisted more than one way!
