I remember them well--all the Lincoln Continental convertibles of the  
period.  "Back when I was a boy........." while walking in the crosswalk  with a 
friend crossing three lanes of stopped traffic a Lincoln convertible  
pulled right in front of us across the crosswalk.  Being teenagers and not  
knowing our place in society we didn't walk around him we just opened one of the  
back suicide doors, walked through the back and opened the other suicide 
door to  get out and continue on our way.  Then we watched as the other 
drivers  laughed at him when he had to get out and close each of the back doors 
before he  could drive away--and the light turned green while he was doing it.
