I seem to remember on my '63 Rampside there was at 1 point too much old, crusty grease and just cleaning it all off (inside and out) and then relubing it with lubriplate and then a couple of good slams it all of a sudden starting working properly again. As far as interchanging with an early, I don't think so. I hope this is helpful.

Bottom line is it will not completely latch and shut - only connects to the point where the door is "cracked"...any repair suggestions? Also, are latch and striker universal w/ EM vairs, or limited to FC's only?
