<VV> Gas pedal Location

I'm in th eprocess of installing new carpeting in my LM convert.  I'm almsot positive that I have seen information about the installation of the gas pedal onto the shaft.  Something about the distance from the pedal to the rug.  I've looked in the shop manual, the assembly manual and the body manual.  I couldn't find anything.  Am I mistaken?
